Templeshannon Community & Childcare Centre

In 2017 we applied to the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport for a grant of €1,200 through their 2017 Sports Capital Program.

The purpose of the grant was to provide sports equipment for the Templeshannon Indoor Bowls Club. We were successful in our application and purchased a new bowls mat, fenders, bowls and jacks for the club.

The Templeshannon Indoor Bowls Club are very active members of the local community who use the Community Centre Hall twice weekly to play indoor bowls. They are part of Active Retirement Ireland and encourage new members of the community to join them. It is great for mature community members to keep fit, active and to enjoy a social meet up during the week.
