Fundraisers
As a not-for-profit organisation, Templeshannon Community & Childcare Centre relies heavily on fundraising events to finance such things as the refurbishment of the centre (new floors, having the walls painted, updating kitchen equipment…) and childcare requirements, such as having the outdoor
play area resurfaced, and getting new playground equipment.
Thanks to the generosity and support of the parents and of our local community here in The Shannon, we renovated both childcare rooms last year, and we got new indoor flooring.
We also began a yearly sponsored walk, which is held in June of every year. In 2014 we raised over €3,000 for the maintenance and upkeep of the community centre.
